Fish is a vital food resource for human. In order for us to conserve and replenish our fishery resource, we need to have certain guideline and regulations in place to make sure that we do not exhaust and deplete our fishery resource. Therefore, the federal government and state governments has put certain regulations, guidelines, limitations, and seasons to catch any commercial and recreational fish.          As a recreational fisherman, my father and I every year go fishing off-shore to catch red snappers. However, by the state of Texas Regulation, we have only 45-60 days a year to catch a red snappers, and currently, the limit is 2 red snappers per person, per day. Depending on the type of fish you catch, you need to know if you are allowed to keep the fish or not, what is the limit to keep, and what is the size limit of the fish.
